About

Jackpot Racing is a motorsport team specifically competing in GT car racing since 2014. Drivers Chris and Mika had no car racing experience prior to undertaking the Aston Martin GT4 challenge that took them from complete novices to novices with a shiny license that meant they were allowed to race cars.

Prior to racing GT cars, Chris drove a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 at select track days around the country. If you listen carefully when the drivers arrive you will be able to hear them discussing whether he came here in that red box that sacrificed his kids comfort to and from school for the sake of racing seats and bright blue belts, or not.

Such experience makes Chris and Mika a true AM-AM pairing, something of which isn’t commonly found in the world of GT racing. Yes you can say there are plenty, but that would open the debate of what constitutes an AM, which in turn becomes fuzzy in the world of motorsport (should someone who races every weekend despite not being paid really classified as an amateur?).

After running in an Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 for a few years, the team purchased an M4 GT4 at the beginning of the 2018 season to compete in the GT Cup.
